The main difference between A690 and traditional steel is that A690 requires at least 0.50% copper, which has increased the anti-corrosion property of the material.
The A690 material functions very well at the Splash Zones in marine environment. Sometimes using A690 is a more economic way for anti-corrosion than coating.
