The main concern for people using the cold-formed sheet pile is its waterproof function at the interlock.
However, whatever it is cold-formed sheet pile or hot-rolled sheet pile, both of them could not be 100% waterproof. So it is quite necessary to use the sealant at the interlock if the project has a very high waterproof requirement.
The common seen sealants are:
1. Bitumen
2. Chemical glue
Normally the bitumen and chemical glue shall be poured into the interlocks before installation. The chemical glue will be expanded in water.
